Maria Gaidar was appointed assistant to the governor of Odessa

Russian opposition leader Maria Gaidar was appointed assistant to the governor of Odessa, Mikhail Saakashvili, correspondent Bi-bi-si Natalia Antelava from Odessa.

“I’ve never worked in a team. We will hold real reforms”, - said Gaidar at a ceremony in Odessa.

“The fact that we were joined by one of the most prominent Russian politicians say that we are invincible,” - Saakashvili said, presenting his new assistant.

Saakashvili promised to provide rossiyanke Gaidar Ukrainian citizenship.

Former Georgian President Saakashvili was appointed head of the Odessa on May 30.

In an interview with BBC BBC Saakashvili said that the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko offered him the place of Deputy Prime Minister, but he refused.
