Penguin at the zoo reached Tbilisi Azerbaijani border

African penguins, which during the flood in Tbilisi escaped from the zoo was able to get to the Azerbaijani border. As reported by “Georgia Online”, an animal found at the Red Bridge on the River Temple. Distance from the Georgian capital to the bridge that serves as the country’s border with Azerbaijan, is about 60 kilometers.

The representative of the zoo said that the animal has left, and soon it will bring back to Tbilisi.

According to the radio station “Moscow speaking”, the Tbilisi Zoo refused the assistance of colleagues from Moscow. “We spoke with the director of the Tbilisi Zoo. While they said they do not need help at the moment. They thanked us for the offer, said that for the moment they still do not need it”, - explained the Chief of External Communications of the Moscow Zoo Olga Weinstock .

African penguins at the zoo were the Georgian capital in July 2014. For animals that have come from the UK, pingvinarium was equipped with a large swimming pool, sandy beach, small caves and mud nests.
