MFA: Our membership in NATO is not directed against Russia

Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze commented on the statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who called NATO’s eastward expansion as a “provocation.”

“Our message to Russia is that NATO is not directed against anyone, especially Georgia’s membership in NATO in any case is not directed against Russia,” - said Panjikidze. According to her, “in the interests of Russia - have a stable neighbor.”

“Based on this, our answer is simple - we continue Georgia’s integration into NATO,” - said the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry.
