Saakashvili has asked U.S. senators new weapons for defense against Russia

The need to supply weapons to defend Tbilisi from Russia’s leaders discussed the U.S. Senate with Saakashvili. After talks in Washington about the “Russian threat,” the Georgian president intends to visit sunny Miami to talk out there about the tourism potential of their country. The opposition called the visit to Florida “arrogance.”

When at last week’s press secretary, Manana Manjgaladze Saakashvili announced a visit of the President of Georgia in the U.S., the program has not yet been fully compiled. Similarly, it was known only about the fact that the Georgian leader personally take part in tourism fair in Miami, where talk about the potential of their country in this field. Moreover, the emphasis on the fact that Saakashvili’s visit to the U.S. rather is aimed at attracting investment, and political aspects recede into the background.
Indeed, it all started with the fact that pro-government national television channels of Georgia reported personal involvement Saakashvili signed a contract with billionaire Donald Trump, who reportedly plans to invest 250 million dollars in the construction of skyscrapers in Tbilisi and Batumi. In this case, Trump called Mr. Saakashvili “idol” of democracy in the Western world. And he called for U.S. authorities to be proud that they have a partner - the “reformer” in Georgia.

However, a few days later influential American edition made it clear that Trump will not give their money. Most likely, Georgia will be allowed during the construction to simply use the Trump brand.
