The Georgian military vehicles invaded the territory of South Ossetia

The Georgian military had violated the state border of South Ossetia. According to IA “Republic”, stated in the press service of Defense Ministry of South Ossetia.

According to the Ministry, about 17:00, two armored “Cobra” and a military truck drove up to 150 meters deep into South Ossetia near the village Okona bordering on Georgian villages Knolevi. “After warning shots into the air the Georgian military went back to Georgia”, - reported in the press-service agencies.

“This incident shows that Georgia continues to escalate the situation at the borders. This happens with the connivance of the EU observer mission, whose task is to prevent such violations, and that also contradicts the Medvedev-Sarkozy agreement,” - said the representative of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia.
