Georgian pilgrims asked for political asylum in Israel

The Group of 45 Georgian pilgrims after visiting for Passover holy places in Jerusalem appealed to the Immigration Service of Israel to grant them political asylum.

“They were very orderly asked the immigration service, motivating (request) status in Israeli law, according to which any treatment of asylum should be processed within three months”, - told reporters on Sunday, the consul of Georgia Irakli Advadze in Israel. According to him, the citizens of Georgia will remain in Israel pending their appeals.
